Music : My Current Playlist (Mac-Apr)

I've been very busy lately, rarely got time to update my blog. If you've been watching any local news and read the newspapers recently, chances are you might heard about the opening of a certain center in KL Sentral. I was very involved in that project and other things. Just finished taking my 2 days off (a much needed break) and enjoying every minute of it. Going through that time, listed below is my playlist; - music that I listen to regularly in my car stereo, my computer, on my discman, at home and almost everywhere, throughout those busy moments.

  • Dewa 19 - Kerajaan Cinta
- Repackage album with 2 new super songs, Dewi and Mati Aku Mati. There are also new, heavier versions of Roman Picisan, Separuh Nafas, Kangen and Angin and also 8 songs from Republik Cinta. Favourite line while completing those tight deadline? The chorus for Mati Aku Mati, "...Mati aku! Oh...oh! Mati Aku! Gila...!!". Hehehe..

  • Korn - MTV Unplugged
- Korn = Gypsy Kings? Check out the calypso version of Blind. Sometimes funny, sometimes cool, this album worth a listen. With guest vocalist from Amy Lee and the Godfather of Goth, Robert Smith.

  • Janis Joplin - 18 Essential Songs
- Essentials. Classics. Gems. The best female hard rock/soul vocalist ever.

  • Norah Jones - Not Too Late
- Soothing voice, pacifying music for those moments that needed some comforting. Makes you forget that you're stuck in your cubicle.

  • Radiohead - Acoustic Sessions & More
- The intro for No Suprises bring goosebumps to me. Sing along in the office tunes.

Feck! Memula ternampak sekilas tu, aku ingat kau tulis KRUjaan!

..and for you to remember the title of their album proves to me that you're a big fan, Nazim.

And why the hell not, man?!?

Well let's see.. a 'rap' group that always took someone else's beats and ideas and turned them into a malay pop song and act like they wrote the damn thing, dismissing the facts that maybe some local listeners could recognise the rhythm and the melodies and saying that it was a coincidence and whine about local listeners don't support their music????????
That's explain why u like them.. *wink* *wink*

Hey, watch it, man. KRU balas fan letter aku siap bagi autographed photo lagi tau tak!!! Aku suka diorang sejak album pertama lagi (masa tu, memang takde fashion sense lagi la. Windbreakers, wtf? hehe...) tapi, heh, stopped lepas diorang berlakon filem. :P

Oh, Roman Picisan mengingatkan aku pada that somebody's blog la....

PS: Edd, aku ada dl a few Arctic Monkey's songs la. Which ones would you suggest to start with? (sebab at first glance, aku rasa cam susah nak masyuk la).

I don't geddit, your stuff is not entirely original either.

But to give you more credits (than you actually deserve. Bwahaha!), you're kinda like Dewa 19. You take bits from everywhere and roll it into one.

So okay la, you're a demi-God and I'm just a petty beggar; because there's so much difference you and I, isn't it? *Wink* *wink*

nazim..
now you're talking. that's what some ppl call creativity. It takes more time and effort. You needed super editing skills. You're right about the Dewa 19 part. Heck, maybe you all should consider calling me 'genius'. Hehe..

-stop revealing to us your girlish geekiness. It's getting scarier.

Arctic Monkeys? Hmm.. It takes a few spins Zack. Maybe you could start with 'Fake Tales of San Francisco', move down with 'Dancing Shoes' or 'Perhaps Vampire..' and ease on up with 'I Bet U Look Good on the Dancefloor'.

Listen to their new single, 'Brianstorm'. It's kinda' good. And check out You Tube for their video 'Leave Before The Lights Come On' - one of the best video of last year.

Woot! Thanks Edd! Malam nanti aku cari.

Oh, about KRU, that was during Form 4! Well, masa tu kau ngan NM mungkin masih lagi berlari boleng keliling kampung kejar rim basikal :P

Dewa 19 kreatif? Maybe dulu aku akan cakap dorang kreatif..haha. Kreatif dalam bidang recycle benda2 yang orang dulu dah buat..Queen rules!

Aku tak ingat lagu KRU ape tajuknya. Tapi beat sejibik macam lagu "Jump Around - House of Pain" n "Hit 'Em Up - 2Pac". Cuma tukar lirik je. Dulu muda2 nampak la ke"rap"an dorang. Tapi skang dah makin merapu. Tanda2 matured kot...

Belum dgr 'Kerajaan Cinta' lagi tapi lagu 'Dewi' tu reminds me a lot of Dewa time zaman Bintang Lima dulu...
Baguslah kalau diaorg balik zaman tu!

sha fizzle shinizzle..
Aku lebih prefer the original daripada unplugged, tapi Korn really outdid themselves with the album. Never thought bass-slaping could be done acoustically..hehe.

Takde Karma Police dlm album tu, tapi aku ada mp3 dia. But on this album, Thom Yorke ada nyanyikan Wonderwall.. :). Go to this link Sha, Zan if you're interested...
