The trailer for Yasmin Ahmad's upcoming film, 'Mukhsin'. The song is called Hujan (written by Yasmin's father), and performed by Adibah Noor, fresh from her Juara Lagu triumph. Sweet keroncong music, with the soothing voice of Adibah, plus the setting in the rain sets the whole melancholic mood for this movie. Hope this film will be much better than Gubra.
Yasmin's comment in youtube.com " ..we didn't want to decieve the viewers by putting out fancy trailers. Having said that, i think it's (the trailer) kinda sweet and gentle, and at the same time, sharply painful - pretty much like the film itself."

Omigod, omigod, this is like the best trailer EVER, man! There's no chessy three-act structure that has been plaguing Hollywood movie trailers, and *gasp* no John Williams-esque score! Can't wait for this! It seems perfectly suited to be put along side with the rest of my favourite films of all-time – Sepet, Gubra, Cinta, LOTR trilogy, A Beautiful Mind, Final Destination and A Walk to Remember.

P/S: And Adibah Nor's voice is sooo sweet. There’s no better time than last Sunday to show that Juara Lagu-winning song meant intelligence, allegory and splendour, rather than because the singer is a bald, Johorean, mr. goody-two-shoes prick.
